I feel all grown up… I met a girlfriend for a catchup during the week and I had a coffee… yes, coffee and chats. I drink water all the time and am and not usually a tea or coffee drinker. My friend Suzanne got me drinking mint tea after cooking me delicious meals in her house and I now really enjoy it, I’ve been having it ice cold in the warmer weather.
I’ve tried to stay away from coffee as so many people seem to be trying to give it up but recently I’ve discovered decaf mochas! They are warm and silky with a hint of chocolate and the perfect accompaniment to a good old natter (especially with a homemade oatmeal cookie!). A nice occasional treat when I fancy something different.
In other news, I’ve been looking for something to compliment my running and have signed up for a yoga course in Yoga Dublin. I did a few classes here before and thoroughly enjoyed them so decided to take advantage of their special offer of unlimited classes for €59 for 45 days.
The stretching feels soooo good and I love the mind/body connection throughout the class. It’s challenging work but so enjoyable and the quiet meditation time at the end of a class is utterly relaxing. I leave the studio feeling calm and energised, with a smile on my face… I’ll let you know how it continues.
So far these are the benefits I’ve felt:
- excellent sleep
- more relaxed/less stressed
- more focused
- better food/body awareness
- challenging & different workout
- fabulous stretching
So pleased to see the sun back today!
This is a view of Dun Laoghaire from Blackrock in Dublin, look at that blue sky! This was taken on my way back from a lovely girlie mid week lunch. I had a hummus and roasted veg wrap in The Mellow Fig… highly recommend to you local readers.
